What happened to the downloadable version
The Speaker Placement Planner used to be sold as a standalone workbook. The calculation is available free in the browser, and the editable version now lives inside the Studio Project Workbook, which is part of the Studio Acoustic Toolkit. The free tool gives a starting-point layout for the monitors and the listening position, checks the equilateral triangle and symmetry, and shows the boundary-cancellation (SBIR) estimate and first-reflection diagrams.
The Toolkit is for when one quick check is not enough: you enter the room once, then carry it through room modes, speaker placement, RT60 before and after, and a treatment plan with your own costs, and keep it as a file.
