What this does not do
- A starting-point quantity plan from rules of thumb, not exact product SKUs or a guaranteed result
- Does not contain any prices: costs are only what you type in from your own quotes
- Does not estimate RT60 or compare speaker layouts. The Studio Acoustic Toolkit connects the treatment plan to an RT60 before/after estimate and to speaker placement
- Focuses on absorption (panels, bass traps) and does not do diffusion placement geometry
Frequently asked questions
Will this tell me exactly which panels to buy?
It tells you how many panels of the size you choose would reach your coverage target and which positions to treat first. Brand and material are up to you.
Does it include prices?
No. The cost column starts empty. Enter quotes from the suppliers you would actually use and the workbook multiplies them by the quantities.
What if I can't afford everything it recommends?
The shopping list is in priority order: first reflections and bass corners first, then side-wall panels, ceiling cloud and the rear wall. Most rooms improve noticeably from the first tier.
Does it account for furniture already absorbing sound?
Not automatically. If your room already has heavy curtains, a rug or a couch, treat the panel count as a reasonable upper estimate.
