Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
Studio Music Tools ("we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through studiomusictools.com (the "Site") and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Free calculator inputs (room dimensions, etc.): processed entirely in your browser. We do not transmit or store the numbers you enter into the free web calculators on our servers.
- Contact/intake form submissions: if you submit a contact form or a paid-report/consulting intake form, we collect what you provide (name, email, room details, photos if uploaded) solely to respond to your inquiry or deliver the service you requested.
- Email list: if you opt in to receive emails (e.g. after using a free calculator), we collect your email address and use it only to send the content you signed up for, plus occasional related updates. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email.
- Basic analytics: we use privacy-conscious analytics (see /about or our current analytics provider's own privacy documentation) to understand aggregate traffic and calculator usage. This does not include personally identifying information beyond what's inherent to standard web analytics (approximate location from IP, browser/device type, pages visited).
- Purchases: digital product purchases made through Etsy or a third-party payment processor are governed by that platform's own privacy policy; we receive only what's necessary to fulfill your order (e.g. confirmation of purchase) and do not separately store payment card details.
What we don't do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your intake form details or photos with third parties except as strictly necessary to deliver a service you've requested (e.g. a payment processor to process payment).
Data retention
We retain contact/intake form and consulting-related information for as long as reasonably necessary to deliver the service and respond to related follow-up, and delete it on request.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the address on /contact. If you are in the EU/EEA/UK, you have rights under GDPR including access, correction, deletion, and data portability.
Cookies
The Site may use essential cookies for basic functionality and, where analytics are enabled, analytics cookies. See your analytics provider's documentation for specifics once configured.
