Master Chain Studio
Build, audition and export your mastering chain.
Create your own mastering chain with professional EQ, compression, saturation and limiting. Adjust every parameter, hear the result against the original at matched loudness, and export your finished master. Manual processing stays on your device. For an assisted starting point, expand Pro Automate above export.

DROP YOUR TRACK TO MASTER
or click to choose a file
WAV, FLAC, MP3 or AIFF · Manual processing stays locally in your browser.
Click or drag to choose where to listen. Zoom in and scroll across your track. Playback runs through the whole track.
Your chain
Signal flows left to right. Click a module to edit it; the switch turns it on or off. Drag to reorder.
Playback is a fast live preview. Measurements and export use the full-quality render.
Before and after
Preview excerpt only. Loudness is a BS.1770-style estimate, true peak a 4× oversampled estimate.
Export your master
The whole track through your chain as a 24-bit WAV. Free, no account, rendered in your browser.

Four free modules, three extra Pro processors
Parametric EQ
Up to six bands (low shelf, bell, high shelf, high-pass, low-pass) using exactly the filter maths of EQ Studio. The response curve is calculated from the same filters that process your audio.
Compressor
A feed-forward compressor with threshold, ratio, soft knee, attack, release, make-up gain and stereo linking. The gain-reduction graph is the gain the compressor really applied to your excerpt, not an animation.
Saturator
A waveshaper that runs at four times the sample rate with half-band filters, so the harmonics it adds do not fold back as aliasing. Soft, warm (asymmetric) and tape-style curves, with a dry/wet mix. The curve on screen is the transfer function the audio goes through.
Limiter
A look-ahead limiter with an input gain, a ceiling and a release time. After limiting, the 4x oversampled true-peak estimate is verified against your ceiling and a single constant trim is applied if it is needed. The amount of any trim is shown.
Dynamic EQ · Pro
Stereo-linked dynamic bell cut. Reduces only the selected band above its threshold; range limits the cut.
Exciter · Pro
Adds a filtered, 4× oversampled harmonic signal above the crossover. Start with a low amount and compare at matched loudness.
Multiband Compressor · Pro
Three stereo-linked bands with gentle complementary crossovers, independent thresholds and ratios, and parallel mix.
Questions
What is included in Master Chain Studio?
Building a chain, comparing it with the original and exporting the full-quality WAV are included, with no account or watermark. The four core processors and manual export run free in your browser. Pro adds measured automation, Dynamic EQ, Exciter and Multiband Compressor for the unlocked track; it asks for upload consent.
Is my track uploaded?
Manual processing and export happen on your device. Pro Automate uploads your track for measurement only after you give consent; the upload is kept for 24 hours.
Does the export sound like the preview?
Live playback uses a low-latency listening engine so changes respond immediately across the full track. Its dynamics and saturation can differ from the final render. Export and the before/after measurements use the existing full-quality engine with oversampling and verified peak protection. Download the WAV to check your final master.
How long a track can I export?
The export is rendered in your browser's memory, so there is a safety limit of about 10 minutes of 48 kHz stereo audio. Longer files can still be previewed; split them to export. A 4-minute stereo track renders in well under a minute on a typical computer.
What does the limiter guarantee?
After limiting, the 4x oversampled true-peak estimate of the result is verified against your ceiling and the whole file is lowered by one constant amount if it would still exceed it. It is an estimate, not a certified broadcast meter, and it is not a loudness-compliance guarantee.
What format do I get back?
A 24-bit WAV with the same sample rate and channel count as your source. No dither, normalisation or resampling is applied. If your source is an MP3, the WAV contains that decoded audio; it cannot restore detail the MP3 already discarded.
What do Pro Automate and Adaptive Mastering add?
Master Chain Studio includes manual mastering: you choose the modules, their order and every setting. Master Chain Automate (Pro) measures your track and builds an editable chain for you, with a reason for each decision; you can change anything afterwards in this same studio. Adaptive Mastering produces a finished master for you with minimal setup. Reference Mastering is a separate tool that moves your track toward a reference you provide.
