Why Does My Studio Sound Boomy? (It's Probably Not Your Monitors)

If your low end sounds exaggerated at your desk but your mixes translate thin everywhere else, the natural instinct is to blame your monitors, your interface, or a plugin. Usually it's none of those. It's your room reinforcing a specific frequency range at exactly the spot you're sitting in.
